Single-cell profiling of tumor-reactive CD4+ T-cells reveals unexpected transcriptomic diversity

Our new study providing an extensive mapping of CD4+ T cells responding to cancer is on bioRxiv.

The diversity of CD4+ tumor infiltrating lymphocytes (TILs) limits their use for tumor immunotherapy and previous studies did not separate tumor-specific from intra-tumoral bystanders. We analyzed tumor-specific CD4+ T cell responses by high-resolution clustering of single cell RNA sequencing (scRNAseq) both in the tumor microenvironment and draining lymph nodes, and found previously unrecognized transcriptomic diversity.
